Before you start:
∙Check that the film cartridge and processing pack (Picture 1) contain the same film type and number of exposures, and that the lot numbers (stamped on the labels) match.
∙The films may be processed at temperatures within a fairly wide range, as specified in the film instructions. Be sure that all components (film cartridge, processing pack, and processor) are within this range. Best results are obtained at 70°F (21°C). If you refrigerate the processing pack as recommended in the film instructions, allow it to warm up for at least one hour before processing.
Load the processor:
1.Place the processor on a clean, level surface. Pull out the top of the latch (2-A), then open the processor cover. Unfold the crank handle (3-B).
2.Check that the pressure plate (3-C) and both metal rollers (3-D) are clean (see next page). Blow out any dust or lint inside the processor.
3.If necessary, grasp and turn the large spool so the clear lid is at the top; open the lid
(3-E).
4.Unhook the end of the processing pack leader (4), and pull out 1-2 in. (25-50mm).
5.To load the processing pack: Insert the processing pack into its compartment (5).
The processing pack should snap easily into position; if it does not, remove and reinsert it. Feed the processing pack leader over the metal roller and attach the end to the white pear-shaped pin on the spool (6-F).
The leader should lie flat, as shown. If you have pulled out too much leader, causing it to buckle (7), you should rewind the excess as follows: Push the release switch (7-G) in the direction shown by the arrow. Hold it in this position, and turn the crank in a clockwise direction until the leader lies flat.
6.If the film leader has been rewound into the cartridge, use the film leader extractor to pull it out. Orient the extractor and film cartridge as shown (8), and insert the extractor up to the dotted line. Wind the film cartridge knob in a counterclockwise direction as indicated on the extractor, until you feel the film leader catch on the extractor. (It may be necessary to hold the knob between turns to prevent it from rewinding in the opposite direction.) Then gently pull out the extractor, with the film leader attached.
7.To load the film cartridge: Align the cartridge as shown (9), and insert the leader behind the bar (9-H). Then seat the film cartridge in its holder. Attach the leader to the white hook, then to the white pear-shaped pin, on the spool (10). Close the spool lid.
The leader should lie flat, as shown. If you pulled out too much leader, turn the wheel (11) in the direction shown by the arrow until the film lies flat. (This may take up to seven full revolutions, depending on how loosely the film is wound inside the cartridge.) Alternate method: Remove the film cartridge, rewind the film, and reinsert into the holder.
8.Close the processor cover; be sure it latches.

Process the film:
1.Grasp the control lever firmly, and push it down at a steady, medium speed (12).
WAIT 5 SECONDS.
2.Turn the processing crank in a clockwise direction (13), as indicated by the arrows on
the crank. Turning the crank in the opposite direction will damage the processor. Turn at a medium speed – no faster than about two revolutions per second – without slowing down or stopping. When you no longer hear the clicking of the gear (and have reached the end of the film), stop turning immediately.
WAIT 60 SECONDS.
This is the correct processing time for most AutoProcess films. See the film instructions for specific processing times and temperatures for best results.
3.Grasp the control lever firmly, and pull it up at a steady, medium speed (14).
4.Turn the processing crank in a clockwise direction (15), as indicated by the arrows on the crank. Turning the crank in the opposite direction will damage the processor.
Turn the crank steadily and briskly, at about three revolutions per second. Keep turning until you no longer hear the clicking of the gear, then continue turning for another 3-4 revolutions, to ensure that the processing leader is fully rewound into its pack.
5.Open the processor cover.
6.Remove the processing pack; put it back into its original box and discard it immediately. Do not attempt to open the pack, and do not place it on furniture (see
CAUTION).
7.Unhook the film leader and remove the film cartridge. The film is ready to be cut and mounted. Follow the instructions provided with your Polaroid Slide Mounter.
If you pull the film strip out of the cartridge for inspection, take care that the image side (dull side of the leader) does not brush against the lip on the cartridge.
Keep the processor clean: Dirt or particles of dried developer on the pressure plate or metal rollers can cause spots or uneven density on slides. Clean these parts with a soft, lint-free cloth, dampened with water if necessary. Never scrape them with anything metallic, nor with your fingernail. Rotate the rollers as you clean and inspect them.
CAUTION: The Polaroid film process uses a caustic jelly which is safely packed inside a sealed container inside the processing pack. If accidentally you should get some of this jelly on your skin, wipe it off immediately. To avoid an alkali burn, wash the area with plenty of water as soon as possible. It is particularly important to keep the jelly away from eyes and mouth. Keep the discarded materials out of the reach of children and animals, and out of contact with clothing and furniture, as discarded materials still contain some jelly.

Устройство фотоаппарата
Электронная лампа-вспышка, овальная рамка (указатель рабочего положения линзы крупного плана), объектив, фотоэлемент, регулятор экспозиции, окно для выхода фотографий, шторка (предохраняет выходящий из камера снимок от воздействия света) , рычаг установки линзы, крупного плана, дверца кассетоприемника, спусковая кнопка загвора, спусковая кнопка для съемки без лампы-вспышки, защелка дверцы кассетоприемника, зеленый световой сигнал (указывает на готовность лампы-вспышки к работе), счетчик кадров (показывает количество кадров, оставшихся в кассете), видоискатель, упор для большого пальца руки, шейный ремешок, овальная рамка, рычаг установки линзы крупного плана
Подготовка лампы-вспышки к съемке
Возьмитесь за боковые поверхности лампы-вспышки и поворотом вверх зафиксируйте ее в рабочем положении. Вспышка автоматически перезаряжается в течение 3-х секунд после ее установки в рабочее положение при наличии пленки в фотоаппарате, а также после очередной съемки или при легком нажатии на спусковую кнопку затвора. Применение вспышки при ведении съемки как е помещении, так и на открытом воздухе позволяет получать мгновенные фотографии высокого качества практически при любом освещении. После окончания съемки следует опустить лампу-вспышку в исходное положение для защиты объектива и блокировки спусковой кнопки затвора.
Зарядка фотоаппарата
Пользуйтесь только кассетами Impossible серии 600.
Каждая кассета рассчитана на получение восьми цветных снимков и снабжена встроенной электрической батареей для питания фотоаппарата и лампы-вспышки.
На каждой упаковке с кассетой указана дата выпуска пленки. Срок годности пленки 12 месяцев со дня выпуска. При покупке пленки проверьте эту дату, чтобы убедиться, что Вы приобретаете свежую пленку.
Для зарядки пленки в фотоаппарат: cдвиньте вперед защелку дверцы кассетоприемника. Как только дверца закроется, фотоаппарат выбросит защитную карточку, а на задней стороне фотоаппарата загорится зеленый световой сигнал, указывающий на готовность вспышки к работе.
Для извлечения пустой кассеты из фотоаппарата: cдвиньте вперед защелку дверцы кассетоприемника — дверца откроется. Потяните за цветной язычок на кассете и вытащите ее из фотоаппарата.
Фотосъемка. Подготовка фотоаппарата
Расположите фотоаппарат на ладони левой руки (а).
Или, если Вам это удобнее, возьмите фотоаппарат так, чтобы пальцы были расположены на видоискателе, а большой палец левой руки был снизу (б).
Прижмите большой палец правой руки к упору, а указательный палец поставьте на спусковую кнопку затвора. Остальные пальцы правой руки должны быть прижаты к ладони.
Следите за тем. чтобы пальцы не перекрывали окно для выхода фотографий.
Расположение объекта съемки
Съемка в помещении: для получения качественных фотографий объект съемки должен располагаться на светлом фоне на расстоянии 1.2 — 3 м от фотоаппарата.
Съемка на открытом воздухе: расстояние до объекта съемки должно быть не менее 1,2 м. Для получения качественных фотографий рекомендуется постоянно использовать вспышку. При съемке следите за тем. чтобы солнце находилось сзади или сбоку от снимающего. Не рекомендуется производить съемку, если солнце находится непосредственно над головой снимающего. Кроме того, перед съемкой следует убедиться в отсутствии посторонних предметов между фотоаппаратом и объектом съемки.
Съемка через стекло: определите границы кадра в видоискателе и нажмите на спусковую кнопку затвора. Как только Вы отпустите спусковую кнопку, фотоаппарат выдаст готовую фотографию, а вспышка перезарядится. Фотографирование объектов при дневном освещении через стекло представляет собой особый вид съемки, при котором необходимо выключать фотовспышку, чтобы избежать нежелательных эффектов отражения. В этом случае используйте спусковую кнопку, предназначенную для съемки без вспышки (см рисунок).
Съемка крупным планом
Для проведения съемки установите рычажок линзы крупного плана в положение 0,3 -1.2 м, как показано на рисунке. Овальная рамка, появившаяся в видоискателе, предупреждает о том, что объектив подготовлен к съемке крупным планом. Если при портретной съемке лицо взрослого человека помещается в овальной рамке (см. рисунок), то расстояние до объекта съемки выбрано правильно. При съемке маленьких детей, нескольких предметов или группы людей используйте всю площадь кадра видоискателя, а не только размеры овальной рамки, которую теперь следует центрировать на одном из объектов. По окончании крупноплановой съемки, необходимо вернуть рычажок в положение 1,2 м – 8. Рычажок также автоматически возвращается в исходное положение при опускании вспышки.
Регулятор экспозиции
Этот переключатель используется в случае необходимости проведения повторной съемки с целью корректировки яркости изображения на снимке.
(а) Чтобы получить более светлое изображение на снимке, передвиньте регулятор в сторону белой стрелки
(б) Чтобы получить более темное изображение на снимке, передвиньте регулятор в сторону черной стрелки.
(в) Закончив повторную съемку объекта, верните регулятор в центральное положение
Если регулятор экспозиции не возвращен в центральное положение, в нижней части видоискателя появляется в качестве напоминания двойная белая стрелка
Условия получений качественных фотографии
Во время проявления держите фотографию за широкий край белой рамки и предохраняйте ее от воздействия прямых солнечных лучей.
Температура
При температуре воздуха ниже 13′ С следите за тем. чтобы фотоаппарат и пленка не переохлаждались. Сразу же после съемки уберите проявляющуюся фотографию в теплый карман или другое теплое место и подержите ее там, не сгибая, по крайней мере в течение минуты. Более подробная информация о температуре хранения фотографий содержится на упаковке кассеты.
Объектив
Избегайте прикосновений к объективу. Чтобы удалить пыль и отпечатки пальцев с поверхности объектива, слегка подышите на него и осторожно протрите чистой и мягкой салфеткой. Не допускается использовать жесткие салфетки, предназначенные для протирки стекол очков.
Уход за роликами проявляющего устройства
Загрязнение роликов проявляющего устройства может вызвать появление пятен или полос на фотографиях. Ролики проявляющего устройства находятся за дверцей кассетоприемника. Если необходимо почистить ролики при заряженном аппарате, дверцу следует открывать при неярком освещении. Для чистки роликов применяется влажная неворсистая ткань.
В случае, если фотоаппарат не производит съемку
Проверьте счетчик кадров. При пустой кассете вспышка будет продолжать заряжаться от батареи, но спусковая кнопка работать не будет. Зеленый световой сигнал на задней стороне камеры указывает лишь на то, что вспышка готова к работе.
Рекомендации по качеству фотографии
Фотографии слишком светлые (передержка)
Возможные причины:
- Объект съемки находится слишком близко к фотоаппарату.
- Темный фон или неравномерное освещение
- Объект съемки расположен далеко от фона.
- Неправильная установка регулятора экспозиции
Методы исправления:
- Проверить расстояние до объекта съемки.
- Избегать расположения объекта съемки на темном фоне, освещение объекта съемки и фона должно быть равномерным.
- Разместить объект съемки на ярком цветном фоне.
- Изменить положение регулятора экспозиции
Фотографии слишком темные (недодержка)
Возможные причины:
- Объект съемки находится слишком далеко от фотоаппарата или вне радиуса действия вспышки
- Наличие источника яркого света или отражающей поверхности за объектом съемки.
- Неисправность лампы-вспышки.
- Неправильная установка регулятора экспозиции.
- Наличие посторонних предметов между фотоаппаратом и объектом съемки.
- Ночная съемка объектов вне радиуса действия вспышки.
Методы исправления:
- Произвести съемку со вспышкой и убедиться, что объект съемки находится в радиусе действия вспышки.
- Уменьшить расстояние до объекта съемки: при съемке людей наилучшее расстояние 1,2 м.
- Убедиться в отсутствии источников яркого света (лампы, окна) и отражающих поверхностей за объектом съемки
- Для исключения эффектов отражения света рекомендуется изменить угол съемки.
- Расположить объект съемки на ярком цветном фоне.
- Проверить положение регулятора экспозиции.
- Убедиться в отсутствии посторонних предметов между фотоаппаратом и объектом съемки.
Дополнительные рекомендации:
- Во время съемки выбирайте такую позицию, при которой солнце находится сзади или сбоку от снимающего; избегайте позиций, при которых солнце находится прямо над головой.
- Дли получения качественной фотографии рекомендуется всегда пользоваться вспышкой.
- Старайтесь направлять объектив фотоаппарата на основной объект съемки.
Нерезкое (размытое) изображение
Возможные причины:
- Ведение съемки без вспышки в условиях слабой освещенности.
- Недостаточное расстояние до объекта съемки.
- Смещение положения фотоаппарата или объекта съемки во время съемки
Методы исправления:
- При съемке внутри помещения следует всегда применять вспышку. Кроме того, необходимо использовать вспышку при съемке на открытом воздухе в тени, в сумерках и в пасмурную погоду.
- Откорректировать расстояние до объекта съемки в соответствии с рабочим диапазоном вспышки.
- Рекомендуется плавно нажать на спусковую кнопку и держать палец на кнопке до прекращения работы мотора; обеспечить фиксированное положение объекта съемки в момент нажатия спусковой кнопки.
Неполностью проявленное изображение
Возможные причины:
- Повреждение проявляющей капсулы фотографии до зарядки пленки в кассету.
Методы исправления:
- При зарядке аппарата рекомендуется держать кассету аккуратно за края и вводить ее в камеру до отказа.
- Рекомендуется извлекать кассету из упаковочной коробки непосредственно перед использованием
Мастерские по обслуживанию и ремонту
Если вам необходима информация или помощь, а также если ваша камера требует ремонта, обращайтесь, пожалуйста, к поставщику продукции фирмы Попароид или в ближайшее ее представительство.
Гарантийные обязательства
Гарантийный срок эксплуатации фотоаппарата 1 год со дня продажи в розничной торговой сети. При отсутствии даты продажи гарантийный срок исчисляется с даты изготовления по коду, который имеется на каждом фотоаппарате. В течение гарантийного срока бесплатно производится ремонт фотоаппарата или его замена на аналогичный фотоаппарат в установленном порядке.
Настоящая гарантия не распространяется на неисправности фотоаппарата, вызванные небрежным обращением, неправильным хранением или несоблюдением правил эксплуатации. В этих случаях устранение обнаруженных в фотоаппарате неисправностей производится за счет владельца по установленным расценкам. Для производства гарантийного ремонта фотоапларат должен быть возвращен в одну из гарантийных мастерских.
Меры предосторожности
При обращении с фотоаппаратом, как и любым другим устройством с питанием от батарей, необходимо соблюдать меры предосторожности:
1. Выполнять все положения настоящей инструкции
2. Не пользоваться неисправным фотоаппаратом, пока он не будет проверен в специализированной мастерской.
3. Не разбирать фотоаппарат. Во избежание поражения электрическим током обслуживание и ремонт фотоаппарата должны производиться исключительно сотрудниками специализированной мастерской. Неправильная сборка фотоаппарата в случае самостоятельной разборки может вызвать поражение электрическим током при его последующем использовании. Не разрешается погружать фотоаппарат в воду или другие жидкости.

Polaroid Color Print 35mm films in 12, 24 or 36-exposure rolls are recommended. The cameras can accommodate all brands of ISO
100, 200 and 400-speed color print 35mm film. 35mm slide film IS

Red-Eye Reduction
To help reduce the appearance of red eyes in pictures of people or pets:
1. Have subjects look toward a bright light just before their picture is taken.
2. Turn on additional lights in the room.
3. Press the shutter button down halfway to turn on the redeye reduction light. This will cause the subjects’ pupils to contract, thereby reducing the red-eye effect. For best results, hold the button halfway down for a second and then continue to press down all the way to take the picture.
Red-eye reduction will be most effective when subjects are in the center of the picture.
Focus Distance
For proper focus, subjects should be no closer from the lens than
4ft (1.2 m) for the 2000FF, 3000AF and the 3100BF or 3ft (1m) for the 2100BF.
Unloading the Film
Avoid unloading the film in direct sunlight or bright light. Be sure to rewind the film before opening the back door of the camera to remove the film. If customers attempt to remove the film before rewinding it, some of the frames may become exposed to light.

Blocking the Lens
Do not block the lens with the camera strap, your fingers or any other objects.
Batteries
• Always remove the batteries when storing your camera for an extended length of time to help prevent battery corrosion or leakage.
• If the film does not advance or rewind, the LCD display is blank or dim, the flash does not fire or if the recharge time is longer than 20 seconds, replace the batteries.
• If you replace batteries while film is in the camera, the picture counter may reset to “0.”

Flash Tips
• For proper flash exposure, position your subject at the following distances from the camera:
ISO 100 speed film
2000FF and 3000AF: 4ft (1.2m) to 10ft (3m)
2100BF and 3100BF: 4ft (1.2m) to 7ft (2.9m)
ISO 200 speed film
2000FF and 3000AF: 4ft (1.2m) to 12ft (3.7m)
2100BF and 3100BF: 4ft (1.2m) to 10ft (3m)
ISO 400 speed film
2000FF, 2100BF, 3000AF and 3100BF:
4ft (1.2m) to 14ft (4.2m)
• CAUTION: For eye safety, do not use flash within 2 feet of any subject
• When taking vertically oriented pictures, be sure to hold the camera so that the flash is at the top.
• When taking a picture in a poorly lit area, wait a few seconds after the flash-ready light comes on to ensure maximum flash brightness.
Fill Flash
When taking photos outdoors in bright sunlight, you may want to help fill in shadows on your subjects by using the fill-flash feature.
(Does not apply to the 3100BF.) Press and hold the fill-flash button while you press the shutter button to activate the fill flash.

Panoramic Feature
(3000AF only)
Set the panorama switch on top of the camera to “P.” The viewfinder will change from normal view (see illustration 1 below) to panoramic view with black bands at the top and bottom (see illustration 2 below). Use these bands to frame your picture.
• Do not use the panoramic feature for close-up photography.
The top of the view as framed in the viewfinder may be cut off in the picture.
• To ensure proper size pictures, inform your film processor that you have used the panoramic feature.

DISPLAYING THE DATE AND TIME
The date display buttons on the back control panel allow customers to print a date and/or time in the lower right-hand corner of their pictures.
Use a blunt object such as a dull pencil tip to depress the buttons.
To stop the display from blinking, press the MODE (left) button until the dashes appear. When the dashes appear, no date or time will imprint on customers’ pictures.
Press the MODE button once again to display the date or date-time mode. Each time you take a picture, the black bar blinks for a few seconds to indicate correct operation of the date printing feature.
SETTING THE DATE AND TIME
1. Press the MODE (left) button repeatedly until the desired date, or date-time mode appears. An “M” in the date display indicates which number is the month.
2. Press the SELECT (middle) button. Each time it is pressed, a different part of the display blinks.
3 . When the desired number is blinking, press the SET ( r i g h t ) button. This will increase the blinking number by one. If the

4. When the correct number appears, press the SELECT

DISPLAYING THE DATE AND TIME
The date display buttons on the back control panel allow customers to print a date or time in the lower right-hand corner of their pictures. The date appears in a day/month/year format (e.g.,
October 14, 1997, would be “14 10 97”) or a year/month/day format (e.g., October 14, 1997, would be “97 10 14”). Customers may also record the time they took their photos, shown in an hour/minute format. Hours are shown in a continuous cycle from 1 to 23, with no reference to AM or PM; so, 9:30 AM would be displayed as “9 — 30,” while 9:30 PM would be shown as “21 — 30.”
While customers may add either a date or a time, they cannot have both on the same picture.

WARRANTY
Polaroid offers a one-year warranty from the date of purchase.
Polaroid will repair the camera or, at its option, replace it free of charge with a camera of the same or equivalent model. The customer will incur no charges for labor, service or parts during the warranty period. The customer is responsible for keeping the sales slip or other proof of the purchase date to verify the warranty period.
The warranty does not include the batteries or damage caused by leaking batteries, nor does it cover damage caused by accident, misuse or tampering.
REPAIRS
& RETURNS
PROCESS
In most cases, a customer will return a defective camera to the dealer. The dealer will either refund the customer’s payment or replace the camera.
Polaroid will replace defective cameras returned by dealers to
Enschede, Atlanta and Santa Ana with either exchange units or dealer credit.
If a customer returns a defective camera directly to Enschede,
Atlanta or Santa Ana, Polaroid will be responsible for replacing and returning a similar camera to the customer.
Polaroid will replace, not repair, defective cameras.
