Крем Zostrix или Zostrix HP для облегчения боли от нервов на поверхности кожи, например, при остеоартрите или опоясывающем герпесе.

Показания для применения
«Пеленочный» дерматит, опрелость, небольшие поверхностные раны, ожоги, порезы, царапины, ссадины, варикозные язвы, пролежни, экзема в стадии обострения.
Способ применения и дозировка
Наружно.
«Пеленочный» дерматит, опрелость у детей грудного возраста Лечение: перед применением необходимо вымыть и высушить пораженную область. При появлении первых признаков покраснения, опрелости или небольшого раздражения кожи мазь наносят на кожу 3-6 раз в сутки (обычно при смене пеленок или памперсов).
Профилактика: мазь наносят на кожу, покрываемую пеленкой или памперсами, до начала появления признаков раздражения (особенно перед сном), когда ребенок может долгое время находиться в мокрых пеленках (подгузниках, памперсах).
Раны и ожоги: мазь наносят тонким слоем на очищенную кожу (при необходимости накладывают марлевую повязку), только на поверхностные и неинфицированные поражения до 2-3 раз в день.
Возможны реакции гиперчувствительности: сыпь, местное раздражение кожных покровов.
В случае возникновения побочных эффектов необходимо обратиться к врачу.
Повышенная чувствительность к компонентам препарата.
До настоящего времени о случаях передозировки препарата не сообщалось. Если средство по ошибке принято внутрь в больших количествах, оно может вызвать рвоту, диарею, возбуждение ЦНС и судороги. При необходимости назначается симптоматическое и поддерживающее лечение.
Мазь предназначена только для наружного применения!
Избегать попадания препарата в глаза и на слизистые оболочки.
Если «пеленочный» дерматит или опрелость не исчезают в течение 48-72 часов от начала применения препарата, необходимо обратиться к врачу.
В состав лекарственного средства входят ланолин и бутилгидроксианизол, которые могут вызвать местные кожные реакции (например, контактный дерматит); нипагин (производное парагидроксибензоата), способный вызвать аллергические реакции. Бутилгидроксианизол также может раздражать глаза и слизистые оболочки.
Беременность и лактация
Данные о доклинических исследованиях на животных отсутствуют. Контролируемые клинические исследования не проводились. Следует избегать применения препарата во время беременности и кормления грудью. В случае необходимости лекарственное средство назначается по рекомендации и под наблюдением врача, если ожидаемая польза для женщины перевешивает риск для плода/ребенка.
Влияние на способность управлять транспортными средствами и потенциально опасными механизмами
Зокситин мазь 400 мг/г не влияет на способность к вождению и управлению механизмами.
До настоящего времени при наружном использовании мази взаимодействия с другими лекарственными средствами не выявлено.

Хранить при температуре не выше 25°С. Не замораживать.
Срок годности — 3 года.

Zostrix is simple to use, however regular and frequent use is important to achieve full pain relief.
Because of the way Zostrix works, relief may not occur immediately and improvement may be gradual. The time required varies from person to person, although most have noticeable relief after 2 weeks of treatment. In some cases it is necessary to use Zostrix for up to 4 weeks before pain is relieved. Use strictly as directed. Zostrix should be used continuously for best effect.
Zostrix Use – A Step by Step Guide
How to apply Zostrix?
1. Apply Zostrix 3 to 4 times a day, every day. Apply just enough to cover the affected area (a small fingertip is usually enough).
2. Massage Zostrix cream into the skin on the front, back and sides of the affected area until no residue remains.
3. Unless treating hands, always wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after the application and avoid contact with sensitive areas, such as eyes
Pain relief builds gradually with regular application.
Zostrix works gradually so pain relief may take up to 4-6 weeks.
Zostrix may be used as long as neeeded.
Zostrix may be used long-term, however if it is discontinued, pain may recur in a few days or weeks. If pain recurs, Zostrix applications should be restarted.
Wash hands immediately after application (unless treating hands), and:
- Do not apply Zostrix to broken, open or irritated skin.
- Do not apply heat pads or have a hot shower immediately after application.
- Avoid bandaging the area following application.
- Avoid touching the eyes, mouth or other sensitive areas.
For best results, little and often is the rule to follow.
Application of Zostrix sometimes causes a burning sensation.
The heat, discomfort or burning sensation experienced by some patients upon application is related to the way Zostrix works. Do not be concerned. This sensation is thought to be related to the initial release of Substance P and discomfort generally diminishes after the first few days of continued use. Remember, Zostrix works gradually so pain relief may take up to 4-6 weeks.
Which Zostrix is best for you: Zostrix 0.025% or Zostrix-HP 0.075%?
For postherpetic neuralgia (pain following shingles) we recommend you to try Zostrix 0.025% prior to using Zostrix-HP 0.075%.

What do I need to tell my doctor BEFORE I take Zostrix?
For all patients taking Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream):
- If you have an allergy to capsaicin, local anesthetics, or any other part of Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream).
- If you are allergic to Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream); any part of Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream); or any other drugs, foods, or substances. Tell your doctor about the allergy and
what signs you had. - If your skin is damaged or has open wounds. Do not put on damaged skin or open wounds.
- If a large area needs to be treated.
Children:
- If your child is younger than 10 years of age. Do not give Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream) to a child younger than 10 years of age.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist about all of your drugs (prescription or OTC, natural products, vitamins) and health problems. You must check
to make sure that it is safe for you to take Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream) with all of your drugs and health problems. Do not start, stop, or change the dose of
any drug without checking with your doctor.
What are some things I need to know or do while I take Zostrix?
- Tell all of your health care providers that you take Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream). This includes your doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and dentists.
- Talk with your doctor before you use other drugs or products on your skin.
- Do not use coverings (bandages, dressings) unless told to do so by the doctor.
- Do not use right before or after a bath, shower, or heavy exercise.
- Avoid using a heating pad or other heating devices on the treated area.
- Do not breathe in Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream) after it has dried. May cause nose or throat irritation.
- Take Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream) off of the skin if very bad burning or itching happens.
- This medicine may cause harm if swallowed. If Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream) is swallowed, call a doctor or poison control center right away.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant. You will need to talk about the benefits and risks of using Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream)
while you are pregnant. - Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding. You will need to talk about any risks to your baby.
How is this medicine (Zostrix) best taken?
Use Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream) as ordered by your doctor. Read all information given to you. Follow all instructions closely.
- Do not take Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream) by mouth. Use on your skin only. Keep out of your mouth, nose, and eyes (may burn).
- Do not put on the genitals.
- Put a thin layer on the affected skin and rub in gently.
- Put on by using the pads that come with Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream). Throw away pad after use.
- Wash hands after use.
- Do not touch your eyes, nose, mouth, genitals, irritated skin, or contact lenses after you use Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream). Some drug may stay on your hand
even after washing. - If you get Zostrix (capsaicin in lidocaine cream) in any of these areas, rinse well with water.
What do I do if I miss a dose?
- Put on a missed dose as soon as you think about it.
- If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
- Do not put on 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
What are some side effects that I need to call my doctor about right away?
WARNING/CAUTION: Even though it may be rare, some people may have very bad and sometimes deadly side effects when taking a drug. Tell your
doctor or get medical help right away if you have any of the following signs or symptoms that may be related to a very bad side effect:
- Signs of an allergic reaction, like rash; hives; itching; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever; wheezing;
tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue,
or throat. - Very bad burning or burning that does not go away.
What are some other side effects of Zostrix?
All drugs may cause side effects. However, many people have no side effects or only have minor side effects. Call your doctor or get medical
help if any of these side effects or any other side effects bother you or do not go away:
- Burning.
- Stinging.
These are not all of the side effects that may occur. If you have questions about side effects, call your doctor. Call your doctor for medical
advice about side effects.

If you think there has been an overdose, call your poison control center or get medical care right away. Be ready to tell or show what was
taken, how much, and when it happened.
How do I store and/or throw out Zostrix?
- Store at room temperature.
- Keep all drugs in a safe place. Keep all drugs out of the reach of children and pets.
- Throw away unused or expired drugs. Do not flush down a toilet or pour down a drain unless you are told to do so. Check with your
pharmacist if you have questions about the best way to throw out drugs. There may be drug take-back programs in your area.

Состав
Активное вещество: капсаицин 0,025% масс.
Другие ингредиенты: бензиловый спирт, цетиловый спирт, глицерил-1-моностеарат, изопропилмиристат, очищенная вода, цитрат натрия, сорбит, белый мягкий парафин.
Безопасность применения
Крем Zostrix может вызвать временное жжение при нанесении. Это жжение чаще наблюдается при нанесении препарата менее 3-4 раз в день. После нанесения лекарства пальцами, руки следует немедленно вымыть, если не использовались перчатки.
Только для наружного применения. Не перевязывать плотно. Если состояние ухудшается или проходит, а затем повторяется в течение нескольких дней, прекратите использование этого продукта и обратитесь к врачу. Избегайте попадания в глаза или на сломанную или поврежденную кожу. Хранить при температуре ниже 25°C.
