Компьютерный интерфейс и контроллер FW 1082 для шины FireWire является облегченным вариантом модели FW 1884. Есть восемь аналоговых входных каналов с регуляторами чувствительности и светодиодными индикаторами перегрузки: четыре канала имеет симметричные микрофонные входы (XLR) с общим выключателем фантомного питания напряжением 48 В (у двух также есть разрывы на джеках) и симметричные линейные входы (джеки), четыре других канала имеют симметричные линейные входы (джеки, восьмой вход переключается на инструментальный). Еще есть электрический цифровой интерфейс формата SPDIF (RCA), два симметричных мониторных выхода (джеки), выход для наушников (джек) с регулятором уровня. Десять входов и четыре выхода можно использовать одновременно, поддерживаются частоты дискретизации от 44,1 до 96 кГц, разрядность 24 бита.

Есть восемь каналов управления, каждый имеет моторизованный сенсорный фейдер длиной 60 мм, кнопки выбора, солирования и заглушения, индикатор готовности к записи. Также есть моторизованный мастер-фейдер, четыре вращаемых регулятора (панорама, уровни посылов, эквалайзеры), органы управления транспортными функциями, колесо jog/shuttle. Возможна имитация контроллеров Mackie HUI и Mackie Control.

Кроме того, устройство имеет два MIDI-входа и два выхода (32 MIDI-канала), вход для педального переключателя (назначается), два шестиконтактных порта FireWire. Возможно использование в качестве автономного микшера конфигурации 10 x 2.

Прилагаются драйверы и программная панель управления под Windows XP/2000 и MacOS X 10.2.8 или выше, программы Cubasis LE и GigaStudio 3 LE, демонстрационные версии плагинов Nomad Factory, двухметровый кабель FireWire.
