Lacteol Fort is a bacteria that exists naturally in the body, primarily in the intestines and the vagina. Lacteol Fort has been used as a probiotic, or «friendly bacteria.»
Lacteol Fort has been used in alternative medicine as a likely effective aid in treating diarrhea in children with rotavirus.
Lacteol Fort has been used in alternative medicine as a possibly effective aid (in children or adults) in preventing diarrhea caused by antibiotics, travel, chemotherapy, or hospitalization. Lacteol Fort is also possibly effective in treating irritable bowel syndrome, bacterial vaginal infection, colic in babies, lung infections in children, skin problems in children who are allergic to milk, and other conditions.
Lacteol Fort has also been used to treat lactose intolerance, Crohn’s disease, overgrowth of bacteria in the intestines, or vaginal yeast infections caused by antibiotics. However, research has shown that Lacteol Fort may not be effective in treating these conditions.
Other uses not proven with research have included treating indigestion, urinary tract infections, intestinal problems in premature babies, high cholesterol, lyme disease, cold sores, acne, cancer, the common cold, and other conditions.
It is not certain whether Lacteol Fort is effective in treating any medical condition. Medicinal use of this product has not been approved by the FDA. Lacteol Fort should not be used in place of medication prescribed for you by your doctor.
Lacteol Fort is often sold as an herbal supplement. There are no regulated manufacturing standards in place for many herbal compounds and some marketed supplements have been found to be contaminated with toxic metals or other drugs. Herbal/health supplements should be purchased from a reliable source to minimize the risk of contamination.

При печеночной энцефалопатии или печеночной коме (или прекоме) эффект достигается за счет транспорта аммиака из крови в толстый кишечник (благодаря снижению рН, увеличению осмотического давления в просвете кишечника) и удаления из толстой кишки ионов аммония и других азотосодержащих токсических веществ.
Обладает пребиотическим действием, восстанавливает собственный микробиом кишечника.
Подавляет протеолитические бактерии и увеличивает количество ацидофильных бактерий.
Фармакокинетика
Абсорбция – 0.5-2% от принятой дозы.
Показания активного вещества
ЛАКТИТОЛ
Запор, регулирование стула (в т.ч. при геморрое, подготовке к операциям и после операций на прямой кишке, анальном сфинктере и прилегающей к нему области).
Печеночная энцефалопатия, печеночная кома и прекома, гипераммониемия.
Режим дозирования

Побочное действие
Со стороны пищеварительной системы: метеоризм, боли в животе, рвота, диарея; очень редко — тошнота, анальный зуд.
Со стороны обмена веществ: при длительном применении в высоких дозах при лечении печеночной энцефалопатии возможно нарушение электролитного баланса.
Противопоказания к применению
Галактоземия, кишечная непроходимость, подозрение на органическое поражение ЖКТ, боли в животе, ректальное кровотечение неясного генеза, предшествующее нарушение водно-электролитного баланса, детский возраст до 1 года, повышенная чувствительность к лактитолу.
Применение при беременности и кормлении грудью
Можно применять при беременности и в период лактации в случаях, когда ожидаемая польза терапии для матери превышает возможный риск для плода или грудного ребенка.
Применение при нарушениях функции печени
При печеночной энцефалопатии, печеночной прекоме и коме дозу устанавливают индивидуально.
Применение у детей
Противопоказано применение у детей в возрасте до 1 года.
Особые указания
С осторожностью применять у пациентов со склонностью к нарушению водно-электролитного баланса.
В период лечения желательно повышенное потребление жидкости.
Интервал между приемами других лекарственных средств — не менее 2 ч.
Лекарственное взаимодействие
При одновременном приеме с кишечнорастворимыми препаратами рН-зависимого высвобождения следует учитывать, что лактитол снижает рН кишечника.
Показания к применению : Лечение бактериальной диареи во время сопутствующей инфузионной терапии и (или) использования правильного питания.
