CustomBricks — what’s behind it?
CustomBricks was founded in 2014 by A. Ludewig and S. Vögele and will be managed by both of them until 2023. From May 1st, 2023, Mr. Vögele continued to run the company alone. They were the first to offer professionally designed custom LEGO® brick models and accompanying building instructions.
Over the years, the range has steadily expanded and so CustomBricks offers many different topics such as City, WW2, Bundeswehr, Modular Houses, Team Models and CB Architecture now. The company founders were particularly proud of the contract concluded with THW with the help of Lothar Michel. This made it possible to sell THW models with their logos.
At that time, another exciting topic was added to the range with “LEGO technology”. A number of LEGO Technik models have already been converted to RC. A whole new wind came into the company. The idea was to convert LEGO Technik models in a way that they can be remotely controlled by the SBrick. For many conversion sets, the components required for the conversion can be ordered in the CustomBricks Shop. This is possible, for example, for the LEGO 42110 Land Rover Defender, the LEGO 42078 MACK, the LEGO 42083 BUGATTI or the LEGO 42096 Porsche. In the CustomBricks building instructions you will find a professional and very high-quality «step-by-step» building instruction, a partial bar and numbers and an XML code. With this code, the LEGO bricks can be easily ordered from Bricklink if they are not already in your own collection.
Another highlight of the past few years was the cooperation with the well-known technology builder «Effermann». With him, the MOCs technology division was further revived. In the Technic area, completely new models such as the LIEBHERR 926 or the RC Skania 10×4 were developed.
One focus of the company is the individual design/development from the picture to the finished model. Our customers are mostly companies that are looking for a very special promotional gift for their customers. Promotional items for trade fairs or product presentations have already been implemented.
